iControl Keeping tabs on one's home can become an obession for some. iControl wants to provide relief to homowner anxiety with its $399 wireless monitoring station that connects to a home computer, motion sensors, and web cams. From distant web browsers, owners can monitor their homes. iControl is also keen on solving other practical problems like connecting broadband service. Its system allows consumers and businesses to connect to a broadband service by simply plugging in its intelligent box that goes through an automated self-configuration process. iControl's challenge will be building out on its channel strategy and large base of customers. To do so, the company, which recently emerged from stealth mode, is looking to raise $7 million in first-round funding. |
